ABAT100-S-12 monitorsbattery voltage, internal resistance and negative terminal temperature, draws only 5 mA from the host cell and quietly watches voltage, internal resistance and negative-terminal temperature around the clock. An on-board 16-bit delta-sigma front end keeps resistance resolution at 1 µΩ and voltage accuracy within ±0.1 %, enough to spot a 5 % degradation weeks before it becomes a load-loss risk. Data leaves the module through an isolated UART link speaking Modbus-RTU; the user sets any address 1-247, so 120 units can share one twisted pair without clash. Automatic self-test is requested by the upstream ABAT100-HS collector, eliminating manual rounds. Reverse-polarity, opto-isolated protection and 2 kV withstand let it live safely inside high-frequency UPS cabinets. From -10 °C to +50 °C it keeps reporting, helping operators turn guess-work into calendar-based replacement and stretch battery life up to 30 %.
