North Macedonia Gostivar City Smart Street Lighting Project

RANBEM, a local system integrator, has implemented an intelligent street lighting control and monitoring system in Gostivar, North Macedonia. The project utilizes ASCB1-63-C63-1P smart circuit breakers and ASCB1-MS-4G gateways to enable remote management and real-time monitoring of the city's street lighting network.

    Gostivar City, located in the upper Polog valley region. It is the seat of one of the larger municipalities in the country with a the population of 59,770, and the town also covers 1.341 square kilometres (331 acres).


    Customer Requires:

    1. Automatically switch the street lights online (daylight saving time and winter time)

    2. Monitor the running status of the street lamp, and alarm the platform when the street lamp fails;

    3. Analyze the energy consumption of street lamps, and issue monthly/annual report to manage the operation of street lamps more intellitively, so as to achieve the effect of energy saving and emission reduction.

    A total of 220pcs ASCB1-63-C63-1P Smart Circuits Breaker and 120pcs ASCB1-MS-4G Gateway were purchased in this project. At present, the operation is in good condition. The customer is planning to expand the Acrel smart circuit breaker to other areas, integrated into the city smart brain. It is expected that 500pcs will be purchased for the second phase of the project in 2024Q2.
